The Tour
Tim’s aim is to cycle across Canada to raise money for childhood cancer. During this journey Tim plans to increase awareness of childhood cancer and its effects on children. Tim feels it is important to educate people, especially children, on the successes of cancer treatment. Tim’s hope is that the bike journey will provide inspiration and encouragement to children and teenagers faced with cancer.
Tim is also riding to give other kids with cancer a voice. He is collecting cards, letters, art work and messages from cancer-fighting kid’s right from one coast to the other. At the end of his cross country ride, he hopes to be able to give them to the Prime Minister on behalf of the 10,000 kids currently fighting cancer in Canada in hopes to get September named Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in Canada as it is in many other parts of the world!
When a child has cancer, the whole family suffers - but we can join together to give these kids and their families hope.
If you are part of the childhood cancer community in any way, be part of this tour by sharing your story with Tim - a drawing, a picture, or a letter - whatever it is you'd like the country to know about your experience. You can email Tim, write to him orcome out and be part of one of the stops on his tour.
